Q. It took a rain delay and just one extra hole of golf, but what did it take this morning to come out here with that focus and make the putt that you just did?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Oh, yeah, it's been stressful. But, yeah, it's unbelievable. Especially after Scottie hits it so close there. I knew I had to bring in my best to have a chance to beat him an and he's certainly brought it out of me and couldn't be happier.
Q. You said that you wanted to be kinder to yourself and your golf game, what were moments this week when you had to be kind to yourself?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, I think that's a long ways from there, but yeah, obviously I know how good I can get and I keep pushing myself and I keep wanting to get better and then when I fall short it really pisses me off, but I really did a good job of, I didn't get off to a great start on Thursday and I just kind of didn't let it bother me as much. Obviously it helps when you got people like this cheering you on as well. So, yeah, it was a blast.
Q. Norway came out in full force and also your mom Galina is here, she's seeing you win for the very first time, what does that mean to you?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, I thought about that early in the week. My dad still hasn't watched me win, but at least I'm glad my mom got to be here and we got to share this moment together and, yeah, couldn't be happier.
