THE MODERATOR: Alex, 6-under 64. Excellent round. If we can get some comments on your play.
ALEX FITZPATRICK: Yeah, I played really well today. I holed some putts, which was nice. I made a putter change after Thursday's round because I holed nothing. So I was, like, might as well just try something new. So I went to the Callaway's new TRTL putter that they've just come out with.
Yeah, I putted really well today. I hit the ball well. My irons were pretty good. Yeah, just happy with how I played and happy to post a score.
THE MODERATOR: How nice is it on a Saturday, moving day, to make a pretty good jump?
ALEX FITZPATRICK: Yeah, definitely. There's a score out there, I think. When there's no wind, I think someone will shoot a really low score, but it's nice to kind of get in the clubhouse knowing that, you know, I've done my part, and that's all I can do and see where that leaves me for the rest of the day.
Q. Just want to talk about signature events, how awesome that's been, how important that's been since Zurich. You've gotten into all of them.
ALEX FITZPATRICK: I think there was probably a handful of people that had a problem with it, me not being one of them.
Yeah, it's been amazing. It's a weird one because it's a great opportunity for you to get a lot of points and move up FedEx Cup rankings, but at the same time, if you don't play very well, you don't get many points. So you still have really got to play well in order to move up the ranking system.
It's been nice that I've played well on the right weeks and moved myself up and given myself a chance at hopefully trying to get inside the top 30 at the end of the year.
Q. Has it been kind of some validation for you, though, to see that you can hang with these guys on this tour?
ALEX FITZPATRICK: Yeah, definitely. I really feel -- you know, I feel so comfortable out here now. I felt very comfortable very quickly, and I think that was part of how nice people were to me and how well I was treated.
Coming out here and winning is, I guess, respected by your peers, and I think that was super cool to have.
So I think, yeah, my long game especially feels great, and tee to green I feel I'm as good as anyone when I'm really good. If I can get the putter going, I feel like that's when my scores come.
Hopefully I keep putter hot and see what happens.
Q. What will your mindset be tomorrow? You'll be obviously well behind after the guys finish this afternoon, but will you be aggressive tomorrow or just...
ALEX FITZPATRICK: Just more of the same really. If I can keep giving myself chances, I feel like I had a lot of chances inside of 15 feet today, and that was -- hopefully you hole two or three a round if you keep doing that.
There's some holes where you can be a little more aggressive and some where you have to be a bit more conservative. But overall, I'm just happy with where my game is at and just happy to be here. So, yeah, everything is a positive.
Q. Then England-Panama tonight. I'm sure you'll be watching. Any thoughts?
ALEX FITZPATRICK: I was optimistic against Ghana, and we drew 0-0. In all honestly, I think if they sit 11 men behind the ball, and it's quite hard to break down, but I'm hoping once we score one, they've got a push. It could be four or five tonight hopefully. I'm going 4-0.
Q. Any predictions for who is on the score sheet?
ALEX FITZPATRICK: Harry Kane or Thor.
