TPC River Highlands
Press Conference
THE MODERATOR: Patrick, 6-under 64. Another great round here at TPC River Highlands. If we can get some comments.
PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, I played well today. A little sloppy on the back nine, but it was nice to make birdies after the bogeys that I did make.
You know, all in all, I played real solid and made some putts today, so it was a good day.
THE MODERATOR: Eight straight top-15 finishes at this event. What is it about this course that you love so much, and how much would it mean to you to get a win here tomorrow?
PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, it's just a course and a tournament that I really love. I've played here a number of times. I can't even believe that I think I've played here over ten times.
It's a golf course that I think suits my game, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
Q. What do you think the keys are to playing well here?
PATRICK CANTLAY: Yeah, I think obviously when the rough is this long, you have to drive the ball in the fairway, and you have to take advantage of some of the wedges that you get, hit some close. The greens are in really good shape, so you've got to make some putts.
Obviously scores are on the lower side, but you have to hit good shots to make birdies.
Q. What does it do to you mentally, anything at all, when you see Scottie on top of the board?
PATRICK CANTLAY: No, nothing. I mean, I've just got to worry about my game and what I'm going to do. Around this place if you get hot with the putter, you can make a bunch of birdies. Hopefully get off it a fast start tomorrow and keep going.
