KPMG WOMEN'S PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

June 26, 2026

Ina Yoon

Chaska, Minnesota, USA

Hazeltine National Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Ina Yoon is with us now at the 2026 KPMG Women's PGA Championship. 12-under three two days. How are you feeling going into the weekend?

INA YOON: This is actually my first time being lead going into the weekend. It's actually really nice experience for me. I'm so excited to play last two more days, yeah.

Yes.

Q. A lot of players will say it's uncomfortable to have a big lead on the weekend. Do you agree? If so, why?

INA YOON: Yeah, I do agree with that. Sometimes player has to focus on their play, but when they really want to win, then they get nervous.

So that's happened to me as well. So last two -- like two more days I try to focus on my stuff and just have fun with my caddie, Kevin, out there.

That's all my goal.

Q. You played really well at the Chevron earlier this year. Did that experience help make you more comfortable in this situation?

INA YOON: Yeah, I think so. I've been practicing really hard, and, yeah, read a lot of books, and I think everything worth it, yes.

Q. What's this golf course, how does it suit you or how have you been feeling on this golf course?

INA YOON: First of all, I think I like this kind of grass, and the course fit my eye as well. Yeah, I think I like this course. (Smiling.)

Q. I know it's a bit nerve-wracking, are you excited to be in this position? Do you feel like it's somewhere you belong?

INA YOON: Of course. Actually I think this is my first experience to playing in the first lead like playing in the weekend. So, yeah, I'm really excited.

Q. Can you talk about how you feel your game is and what you been working on heading into this week?

INA YOON: ...rather than doing anything crazy I want to focus on what we've been doing with my caddie, Kevin. So that's what my plan is for the weekend.

Q. It can be a little difficult when you have a big lead like this. What are you going to focus on to make sure you stay inside your own game?

INA YOON: The remaining two days will obviously be nerve-wracking, but being nervous is human nature, and I think I want to embrace that and focus on what I can in my shots.

Q. What did you learn from the Chevron Championship experience where you were in contention as well?

INA YOON: In a major it was my best finish a little at major. Although it wasn't close to winning, being top 10 at major is obviously very nerve-wracking and keeping my calm wasn't easy. From Chevron I learned that and I think I'm taking that this week.
