TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP

June 25, 2026

Wyndham Clark

Cromwell, Connecticut, USA

TPC River Highlands

Quick Quotes

Q. Just walk us through the round, was there any rust or did you feel fairly comfortable?

WYNDHAM CLARK: No, I played really good. I mean, just really solid. I had one bad swing, made a triple, other than that we would be at 5-under and in a great spot. So, yeah, no, I feel really pleased with my round of the I felt awesome over everything, just one bad swing.

Q. How are the fans today?

WYNDHAM CLARK: They were great. They were finally rooting for me instead of against me, so we like the Connecticut fans.

Q. Did that give you some momentum?

WYNDHAM CLARK: No, yeah, it was really nice. I mean, it was definitely a nice welcoming here and just it felt a little easier and the momentum was easier than maybe last week.

Q. How was your energy level coming into today?

WYNDHAM CLARK: Obviously low. The biggest thing is I had like an allergic reaction to my left eye, it was puffy, so it was blurry a little bit. Outside of that, I kind of have energy, which I'm surprised about.

Q. Was there anything from the last U.S. Open win and understanding what was in store for you that maybe you were able to lean on or the experience that helped you?

WYNDHAM CLARK: For sure. Yeah, I mean, I didn't end up in the hospital like I did the last time. Then, yeah, I didn't really do much Wednesday, I've just been resting. Today we came out and did an extra hour of practice, just so we could kind of feel comfortable. My speed was good, I felt really comfortable with a lot of shots, yeah, it was all in all a good day.

Q. A broad question, this course feels like a course where any player can kind of win, it's not a bomber's course or something like that, are there other courses you feel like on TOUR kind of like that as well?

WYNDHAM CLARK: I don't really know. I mean, I can't think of anything off the top of my head. But this golf course, you know, it's nice for to us play a parkland-style course where you have to hit it straight, typically there's high rough. They have had a lot of rain so the greens aren't firm and fast, they're really pure though. But I love playing in the northeast golf. I think for a lot of us it's a nice reprieve after how tough the U.S. Open is and Memorial. So it's nice for us to be looking to make a ton of birdies versus trying to make, rather than making mistakes.
