Q. Tell us about your match. Some conditions today.

SAVANNAH DE BOCK: Yeah, I think we were both surprised by the wind. I struggled quite a bit at the start, then I got a little better. That's good.

It was definitely a tough match, and not in the way we like it. It was just very challenging for both of us.

Q. What were you thinking when you were 3- or 4-down?

SAVANNAH DE BOCK: I was 4-down, and I was like now let's get back because that's not acceptable. I was just like so mad. Unfortunately, that led to two more bad shots.

In the end I figured that it was time to put my mind towards playing golf and stop being mad, so that's what I did, and it ended up being fine.

I did hit a few good shots, especially on hole No. 12. I hit my driver almost to the green. So those are good shots, and that's what I will remember from this match.

Q. Your opponent was having a tough time. Did you concentrate on getting the pars there in these conditions?

SAVANNAH DE BOCK: Yeah, I think that putting on those greens with this wind was tough for her while I was more struggling with wedges from the rough. So I was doing my best to avoid the rough, and it ended up paying.

Q. What does it mean to you to get through and keep challenging?

SAVANNAH DE BOCK: It means quite a lot. I'm thrilled to play tomorrow, and I'm just happy to be doing good this year.

Q. Obviously you've got Muirfield experience already. Did you have a day like this the last time?

SAVANNAH DE BOCK: Well, the last time every day was worse than this. It was very hard for me. So I'm glad I had that experience because it definitely helped.
