Q. If you want to talk about your night tonight, the emotions you're going through.
DAILYN SWAIN: A lot of emotions. I was super nervous coming into it, but I'm very excited. Super blessed to be here. Super excited to get to work. I'm just grateful, for sure.
Q. You're not the only Chicago Bull drafted tonight. You get to play with Caleb Wilson in Chicago. What's it like going into the season with another fellow rookie and you won't be there all by yourself?
DAILYN SWAIN: It's a great feeling, especially with a guy like that. He's an electric player. He has a lot of energy, something that everybody can feed off of, especially with him being so young. He's going to be around the league for a long time. But super excited to play with a guy like him.
Q. Recapping your history going back in time, Big East, SEC and now the NBA. Talk about what you've learned in each, the Big East and SEC, how you think it's going to translate to your game in the NBA?
DAILYN SWAIN: In the Big East was my freshman year, so learning impact, how important that is and trying to get on the court any way I could as a freshman. Scrapping, being a scrappy guy, being a complimentary guy and doing what I had to do to play my role.
Going to the SEC, I kind of became the guy, primary ball handler, scorer. I did a lot of the damage.
All of them were steps in my career, and now I'm ready to make this next step, reset back to being rookie and do everything I can to impact the game and get better every single day.
Q. You're a player that's taking this game to the next level year after year. What's the next step for you?
DAILYN SWAIN: Definitely shooting, for sure. Adding on to my frame. Becoming stronger, more athletic, being able to get through an 82-game season. Continuing my routine and get better every single year, like you said.
Q. You wore number 3 at UT and Josh Giddey has No. 3 in Chicago. My question to you is: What are you willing to do to get that number? Are you going to pay him? Are you going to ask him or are you going to rock with another number?
DAILYN SWAIN: Man, I'll definitely ask. Maybe he's feeling nice one time. But I don't think I'll be able to afford a No. 3 from a guy like him. He definitely deserves it, you know what I mean. He's on his way up in the league and he's been killing it. I just have to rock a new number, man.
I'm not sure what's available. My guy Rob [Dillingham] is out there. He got 7. I really like 7. I'm going to have to see what's available.
Q. 23?
DAILYN SWAIN: Come on.
Q. What's one thing that not a lot of people might not know about you now that you're drafted? What can you share that we might need to know about Dailyn Swain?
DAILYN SWAIN: There's a couple things. Something that you might need to know? I've never had deep dish pizza, so I can't wait to try that when I get to Chicago.
