Q. Your dad was a two-time All-Star. What's the best advice he's given you?
CAMERON BOOZER: To stay present. Every day is an opportunity to get better and attack the day. A lot of times you look forward, ten years, five years down the line, but capitalize on today and you're probably better off than if you were looking forward.
Q. Yu wore number 12 in Duke and that might be a problem in Memphis. Ja Morant is rocking 12. What number will you go with?
CAMERON BOOZER: I have to see what's available first. Maybe 2 for my brother, 21 maybe. I've got to see all the numbers on the roster and stuff to decide that.
Q. Can you offer Ja anything, some bucks?
CAMERON BOOZER: He's probably asking too high. But there might be something there. There might be something there.
Q. Your dad said yesterday when it was his draft night it felt like he was waiting forever. You were only waiting three picks, but did it feel a long time?
CAMERON BOOZER: Those five minutes feel like a really long time, honestly. I'm grateful, man.
I went to an organization that believes in me. That's what is super important to me. So super excited for what the future has for me.
Q. You've become the fifth Duke player in seven years taken in the top three. What does it mean to be a part of this era of Duke basketball?
CAMERON BOOZER: It means a lot. I feel like you talk about some of the Duke players in the league, what Kyrie is doing, what Tatum is doing, what Paolo is doing, there's some great players to be a part of. For me, to continue that and have a great legacy in the league, for sure.
Q. You're going to a franchise known for a tough, gritty brand of basketball. Can you talk how you see your game with some overlap there fitting in?
CAMERON BOOZER: Yeah, I play a physical brand of basketball, and I think that's a winning brand of basketball. I'm super excited to get there and be with those guys. They have a young core, and I believe they have three picks in the draft as well. So it's going to be a lot of fun, for sure.
Q. You mentioned trying to get to No. 2 for your brother. Can you talk about what it meant for you and both your brothers tonight and their support?
CAMERON BOOZER: It means everything. My family is a huge part of why I'm here. I know I couldn't get here alone. I shared this moment with them. They have been with me supporting every step of the journey. It was amazing to just hug them after my name was called.
Q. Fans in Memphis had identified you as a player they were excited about. Have you seen any of that and have you seen any of the reaction from the city so far?
CAMERON BOOZER: I haven't seen it yet, but when I went out there to Memphis, you could tell the fans were really into it. Some of the fans saw me and called my name and stuff like that. But I'm super excited to get down there and celebrate with them and just build off of today.
