Quick Quotes
Q. You qualified 36 holes in one day. Made the weekend as a 17-year-old. How would you describe your week and your first U.S. Open here at Shinnecock?
MILES RUSSELL: It was a pretty special week. Just to be here was really special, and to make the cut was kind of bonus points. I didn't quite have my best stuff the last two days, but still really cool. Just a great experience.
Q. What was it like to have your dad on the bag here on this final day?
MILES RUSSELL: It was pretty cool. Just there walking up 18, that's when he stepped in. It was kind of a fun Father's Day gift. Kind of cool since it was my first one. Hopefully it's something he'll remember for a long time.
Q. You were the youngest in the field this week. Played with Jackson. Got a great group with Padraig in the first two rounds. What was it like just being the youngest in this field competing in the national championship?
MILES RUSSELL: I don't know. I mean, I've played in a few pro events before, so it wasn't too different. The golf ball doesn't know your age, so all you're trying to do is get it in the hole as fast as you can.
