Quick Quotes
Q. Despite that finish, how good a round of golf is that?
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, it was a pretty solid round of golf. The conditions today and with the wind, it was a bit more favorable, certainly more enjoyable experience than the first three days.
I was happy to go out and play a pretty decent round of golf. Obviously the last hole stings a bit. Kind of reminds me in some ways of Oakmont last year where I was a bit unlucky on 17 and -- not so much on 18 but more 17 there. Yeah, disappointing.
Now all I can hope for is that it stays top 10 and I'm guaranteed a spot in the U.S. Open next year.
Q. Did the USGA get the setup right this week? It was a delicate balance for them.
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, I think they did. The fact that we didn't have to stop because of the wind getting too strong. Whether they say they slowed the greens down, I think just because of how severe the slopes are, they still feel like they played pretty quick.
Yeah, certainly a bit more successful than 2018.
Q. There's a debate about whether that's a links test. Having played this week, how much can you look forward to links golf in July at home?
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, I mean, the wind was a bit more like links, but how the shots kind of play into the greens, not so much. Obviously they made the greens pretty receptive, which they needed to to get us around here.
There's a heat wave in England over the next week or so, but hopefully it stays fairly dry. I think it would be quite fun to play the Open when it's baked out. Hopefully we'll have a good summer.
Q. How will the mood be in England if they go on a bit of a run in this World Cup?
TYRRELL HATTON: Well, I think that's what we're all hoping for anyway. Maybe the rest of the world, not so much. But yeah, the English are hoping we do well.
