HSBC CHAMPIONSHIPS

June 20, 2026

Tommy Paul

London, England, UK

Queens Club

Press Conference

T. PAUL/U. Humbert

6-3, 6-3

THE MODERATOR: Congrats, Tommy. Welcome back to the final here at Queen's Club. Is this time any different from two years ago?

TOMMY PAUL: Thank you. I'm not sure. I feel like two years ago I played Draper in the semis, so I guess similar because I played a lefty in the semifinal.

I don't know how to answer that question. Yeah, I mean, it's different, for sure.

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Congrats. What area of your game are you the most confident in this week so far?

TOMMY PAUL: Oh, I can't give that away, right? I still have one more match to play (smiling).

No, I feel pretty good all around. There's not too much that I'm not too confident in. There will be some things that I go back to the court tomorrow and in the warm-up and try and dial in a little better, but for the most part, I feel like I'm playing pretty good tennis all around.

Q. Your last matches against Francisco on grass were about three years ago. I think you played three matches consecutively on grass against each other. How do you look ahead towards that match?

TOMMY PAUL: I'm excited, you know. We played some awesome matches. He's gotten the best of me, for the most part, especially on grass.

So I'm looking for revenge, for sure. We always play some awesome matches, but I think this will be the biggest match that we played. Finals of a 500, it's a pretty big match. I'm excited for it.

Q. Congrats on making the final. On a pretty big win streak here at Queen's Club now. Why do you think you have been so successful here?

TOMMY PAUL: It's a good question. I don't know. I'm happy when I'm here. I play great tennis. I'm not sure. Maybe it's because I come here and I'm excited to play.

I think the conditions match up pretty well with my game, as well. I enjoy playing on grass, so I think that helps me.

Q. Do you think it helps, like, having such a long run at Queen's heading into the rest of the grass court season?

TOMMY PAUL: Definitely. I mean, I think, you know, winning matches on this surface that you're playing a slam in, it's a very good thing. I think next week, win or lose tomorrow, next week I'll have a good week of training going into Wimbledon, and I definitely think winning matches helps.

Q. Taking it away a bit from the tennis, you're far away from home whilst at home everything has been very exciting with the World Cup. Are you following closely and looking at the USA's results?

TOMMY PAUL: Yeah, looking at USA's results. I don't know how closely I'm following everything else. We have it on in the house at night, but it's tough. A lot of the games are really late, and obviously I'm trying to sleep as well as I can before all these matches here.

But, yeah, I mean, I watched the previous two USA games. Pretty pumped with the team right now. I think we should win the whole thing.

Q. So your prediction is USA wins it all?

TOMMY PAUL: Yeah.

Q. Who do think they beat in the final?

TOMMY PAUL: Probably France.

Q. I'm a France supporter. Good luck.

TOMMY PAUL: 12-0, I think. Two touchdowns. (Laughter.)
