Q. Here with Jing after the third round at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. Another bogey-free day today. Can you talk about just what you've been doing to avoid bogeys out here? Right now you seem to be the only one who is able to do it.
JING YAN: I don't really know. I just try to play like how I would normally play. And I got close to a couple bogeys, so skirted them.
But I don't know. I just try to play really steady and I'm glad that I didn't have any bogeys.
Q. And then today people that have come through are talking about the course has firmed up a little bit. Does that change your approach to any holes out there, or maybe there anything you had to do in your game?
JING YAN: I feel like when it gets firm maybe you have to be slightly more conservative with attacking some of the pins, especially as they get closer to the edge on Saturday and Sundays. If you miss it short-sided you could have some -- potentially be in some trouble.
So I feel like that would be the biggest consideration.
Other than that, when it gets firm sometimes it helps to hit to certain pins. Sometimes it even helps. So it evens out I think.
Q. This was your first time in a final group heading into the weekend. How do you feel like you handled yourself and what did you feel like you did really well to maintain that lead?
JING YAN: I think I just tried to enjoy it. I knew I was going to be a little bit nervous not having really been in this position before, but I have been kind of in the later tee times and there have been times where I haven't handled it very well.
So just trying to figure out what really works for me and, yeah, try to make a space where I can play my best. Yeah, give it my best of the and enjoy it, yeah.
Q. What have you learned from those later tee times that you'll try to lean on tomorrow?
JING YAN: I feel like pressure can be a good thing, and it's fun to just try and play the best game that I can play. That's all I can do. Not try to look too much left or right because there is a ton of great players out here.
I feel like I can only do what I can do instead of sometimes you get caught up in other people's strengths, yeah.
Q. And then on TV today walking with a lot of confidence; game was looking real confident. Can you just kind of talk about overall where you feel like your game is at?
JING YAN: Yeah, I feel like it's a finicky thing. It's like one day you feel like you're playing great and then one day you can't seem to find the planet earth.
No, I feel like you try to keep the same mentality throughout no matter what. Especially if you're doing the right things or like you feel like you're doing the right things but the scores aren't the really there, you just got to try and keep that self-belief and try and do the things that you know work for you.
So, yeah, I'm just trying to be like the same kind of player no matter the situation. Even if I'm not playing well or if I'm playing well, great.
Q. Lastly, the crowds here in Grand Rapids have been phenomenal.
JING YAN: Yeah.
Q. Coming down four fairway there next to the J. Brewer's, can you just kind of talk about playing in this event for the past couple years? Talk about the growth you've seen in this event.
JING YAN: Yeah, it's awesome. I mean, I feel like every year we come back it gets bigger and we see more and more fans, especially it's nice to see like the little kids and you see the kids's area.
Having young boys and girls being really into golf and interested in the game we're playing is super cool. I just really like the Grand Rapids area and I think all the Midwestern fans are really, really just nice.
