Quick Quotes
Q. Phenomenal 7-under from you today. Did you see that coming as you were playing the last couple rounds? Did you see a 7-under in your future this week?
IN GEE CHUN: No. To be honest, yesterday's round was a little boring, but it was a very patient round. Before we started the game today, my caddie and I talked that we can make a lot of birdies. I was happy I made a lot of birdies on the course. Also, I was pretty surprised a lot of spectators out here. I was pretty thankful to all the spectators who cheered me and watched my game today. That helped a lot my game.
Q. How hard is it to go bogey-free out there?
IN GEE CHUN: Bogey-free round? I think from every course, to make a bogey-free round is very hard because we need a lot of patience out there.
But it was a little hard to have a birdie-free round yesterday.
Q. What about this course brings out some of your strengths?
IN GEE CHUN: This year it's a little windy out there, so I think a lot got longer, and a lot of moisture out there. It played a little longer than usual.
But still, I think if we hit a good shot, then we have a lot of chances to make birdie.
Q. You haven't needed a lot of putts this week, as well. Has that been you're rolling them in well or your approach shots have been on point? What's been the key to success there?
IN GEE CHUN: I mean, after I worked with my coach at the U.S. Women's Open, for sure I got more confidence, and then Scottie came around to fit me for the putter. So everything was just helping to build the confidence, so I think that worked.
Q. Are you starting to feel like yourself again? I know you were away for a little bit due to some injuries, but are you starting to feel like yourself again?
IN GEE CHUN: I never had an injury before, but --
Q. Are you starting to feel like yourself again, playing consistent golf?
IN GEE CHUN: I mean, I'm a golfer, so I can come out every week and people can see, but if you just one step back, even life has up and downs. I think it was just a part of my life.
Now I can't say everything is good or 100 percent mentally healthy, but we have ups and downs, and just trying to enjoy the process out here. So I think that's helped a lot.
Q. What do you have to keep doing to build off your round today and carry that into tomorrow?
IN GEE CHUN: Just try to take all the good parts from today to tomorrow. Just keep doing all the same, just have a good round tomorrow, have a good sleep and just practice a little bit and just keep the same game plan tomorrow.
First thing, I'm just trying to enjoy all the process. I think that's the key because mental is really important.
