Q. All right, here with Minji Kang after her second round to the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. Fantastic finish for you. Start with No. 15, the ace. Just take us through it.

MINJI KANG: So my back nine I struggled on two par-3s before, but then I had a good shot with my 7-iron on that hole. Didn't really expect going in, but all the people on the back was shouting and was so good.

Q. Your first-ever career ace on the LPGA Tour. Was that your first-ever ace?

MINJI KANG: It's my fourth hole-in-one actually, and the Lass one was actually two years ago on hole 11 on this course.

Q. Oh, really?

MINJI KANG: Yeah. Very surprised.

Q. Yeah, very cool. And then to finish your round birdie, birdie, birdie after that, were you in the zone after that? How was your game after that?

MINJI KANG: I was trying to be more patient and I think that works pretty good. The wind started picking up on our back nine. I think was pretty similar wind as yesterday so I was having similar club, and I was able to hit a better shots today.

Q. Placed yourself well in contention right now. 8-under for the last couple days. What is it going to take through this weekend to separate yourself from pack?

MINJI KANG: Maybe I have to be patient and trying to play my game. Just one shot at a time. Don't think too much after. Yeah, that's going to be all.
