Q. Here with Minji Kang after her first round at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. Looks like you got off to a pretty quick start. Kind of talk about that first nine holes.

MINJI KANG: So this is my third time playing this course and was pretty windy out there. But I was trying to be patient at the course and play a shot at a time, and I think that helps well today.

Q. How did the course play or did it play any different from years past when you played here?

MINJI KANG: So I play two years ago and I think the greens were softer. The rain was -- it was raining like for last couple days, so I was able to play more aggressively for some pins and definitely that helped.

Q. And then talk a little bit about the wind today. Difficult conditions; how did you and your caddie manage to get through the wind and post a good score?

MINJI KANG: It's very windy out here. I was worrying before playing the course today, but then me and my caddie was talking to play more safely for the long clubs and for short clubs we play aggressively.

My hybrid worked really well today, so I think that was the good.

Q. And then heading out early again tomorrow, quick turnaround. Do you like that, after playing well getting right back out on the course the next morning?

MINJI KANG: I don't mind it, but I like playing more morning and afternoon. For last six, seven events I'm playing afternoon-morning, so maybe I'm more used to it.
