Q. All right, here with Benedetta after her first round at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. Solid day to start your tournament. Can you just talk us through today? Difficult conditions with the wind.

BENEDETTA MORESCO: Yeah.

Q. Talk maybe what the thought process was going into today.

BENEDETTA MORESCO: Yeah, for sure. Today our game plan was to play smart because with this wind the scores can be very tricky.

So me and my caddie, we talked about strategy before the round. We made good decisions out there. We played really good shots and he picked good clubs, so I have to give him a lot of credit.

And I made some good putts as well. That helped, too. So I would say the strategy and keep a good pace with my putter was also key today.

Q. The strategy was there and also the ball-striking was there. I think you hit 10 fairways and 15 greens. Can you just kind of talk about where you feel like your game is right now?

BENEDETTA MORESCO: I feel like it's going the right direction. The first part of the season wasn't the best but now I feel very good. I took a couple extra weeks off and I worked on my game a lot with my coach.

So I feel in a good place and I feel very happy on the course now. I think it's going well.

Q. Overall, do you feel like your game suits playing in those type of conditions?

BENEDETTA MORESCO: Yeah, for sure. I love to hit punch and like low shots off the fairway with my irons. I would definitely say it helps.

Q. Out here on the LPGA comfortability is a big word when players start to find their game a little bit.

BENEDETTA MORESCO: Yeah.

Q. Do you feel like you're getting a little bit more comfortable week in, week out?

BENEDETTA MORESCO: Absolutely, yes. I feel like playing with such good players every week you learn a lot, and you learn a lot also about yourself. So even from some weeks don't go as well you can still learn and grow and put all the effort into the week after.

So I would definitely say that helped, too.

Q. Going back to the strategy, is the strategy going to change at all going forward, or is it the same thing for the first couple rounds and see where you are after that?

BENEDETTA MORESCO: We'll see. If they move some tees and the wind changes definitely have to change the strategy sometimes, but I would say today worked really well so more or less I will keep it the same. Yeah.
