Quick Quotes
Q. A tidy 67. Job done, I suppose. You must be pretty happy.
CONNOR GRAHAM: Yeah, delighted. I knew I needed a solid round. Happy to play well.
Q. It was getting quite tight. I don't know if you're a leaderboard watcher or not, but the cut mark was kind of floating. Did you know what you kind of needed to do during the round?
CONNOR GRAHAM: Not really at all. I kind of just guessed. I didn't really look at the leaderboard at all today. I knew at the start of the round what it was sitting at and what it might go to. Looking here, the scores were good today. I'm glad I played well.
Q. Bogey-free around Hoylake. I know the wind is not as bad as it can be here, but it's still a nice statement of intent.
CONNOR GRAHAM: Yeah, definitely. It's not an easy golf course out there, so to go bogey-free, cheers.
Q. What's the approach this week? I know a lot of people are getting driver in the bag, but what's been your approach this week?
CONNOR GRAHAM: I can send driver when I can, but there's a lot of holes out there you have to think your way around it to try and not get into trouble, which leads to being able to minimize bogeys.
Q. Kind of nice to be back on home soil. A decent showing at the Links Trophy last weekend?
CONNOR GRAHAM: Yeah, nice to be back playing the links golf. Played pretty good last week at the Links Trophy, didn't quite finish up where I would have wanted, but coming out here and playing good and looking forward to the match play.
Q. A year in America, but you never really lose the links approach, do you? Or does it get tougher and tougher as the years by?
CONNOR GRAHAM: It does. Coming back, it's definitely a little different. Obviously it doesn't take long to get back because I've been playing it for so long. It's definitely quite a bit different than the golf we play over in the states.
Q. You're one of the few players who have actually topped the qualifying standings twice in a row. Is it just nice not to be the No. 1 seed for a change?
CONNOR GRAHAM: Yeah, maybe that was my bad luck. Hopefully I can do a little better in the match play stages this time around.
