CURTIS CUP

June 14, 2026

Farah O'Keefe

Los Angeles, California, USA

Bel-Air Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. I'm with Farah O'Keefe, who has clinched the Curtis Cup for Team USA. It was a battle, though. You were 2-down through 12. What resilience did it take for you to win here on 17?

FARAH O'KEEFE: I felt like I hit a couple of wayward shots. In between 9 and 10, I told myself anything is possible on this back nine. We've already seen it so many times this week. As long as I keep hitting good shots and putting myself in position on the green, anything is possible. My goal for the back was to hit nine greens, and I think I did it.

I'm happy with how I played. I always say never underestimate the ability of the other person to mess up. Unfortunately, I feel for Charlotte. I'm excited for her future. She's young. She's going to be a stud. But she did make a couple of mistakes. I was just able to take advantage of that by playing steady.

But it was an awesome, awesome, awesome match. Just so happy. It was a pretty incredible sight right here. I don't know, definitely the highlight of my career so far.

Q. You were jumping down the fairway celebrating with your teammates. At what point did you know that you had clinched the Curtis Cup?

FARAH O'KEEFE: Captain told me in the tunnel, she was like, we did it. I was like, okay, let's freakin' go. We were whooping and hollering all the way to the tee box. I play my best golf when I'm happy, so I hit an absolute bomb on the last hole like a hundred yards in.

Yeah, it was cool to experience it with these girls that I'm super excited for every single one of them.

Q. How would you describe the final two-footer to make it official?

FARAH O'KEEFE: I don't think I ever shook that much in my life. I was like this (indicating). I didn't even shake that much when I was at the National Championship, okay, just lag it up there. But the two-footer, I'm glad I didn't have to make one at La Costa because that was kind of brutal, but I did it. Hit it right in the hole. I'll take it. Golly, I'm just so pumped, so excited.

Q. You're just the fourth player to go 5-0 in the Curtis Cup. You've talked about it, it's not just about the individual record, it's about the team. Jasmine Koo referenced when she was down in her match, it was about you and the messages that you said when you were playing together as a team. How would you describe having that influence on people who are your peers?

FARAH O'KEEFE: One of the things that Coach Laura tells us at Texas, you have to talk to yourself like you're a teammate. Your self-talk should always be positive. That's something that comes really easy when I get to play with these girls. Come on, let's go. You're a stud. Never doubt yourself.

There were a couple times where maybe Avery and I or Jasmine and I got a little bit down. I just looked at them like, hey, let's do this thing. I kind of had that same chat with myself after nine. I was like you've got to be a teammate to yourself. I turned my attitude around. I saw all the bad shots I was hitting, and I was like it's okay. You're supposed to be human. You're supposed to make mistakes.

I think just positivity and light heartedness, it overcomes everything.
