RBC CANADIAN OPEN

June 14, 2026

Bud Cauley

Caledon, Ontario, Canada

TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course)

Greenside Interview

Q. It took you 239 starts and a lot of life in between to get to this moment. We can see the emotion from you and your entire family. What are you thinking about right now?

BUD CAULEY: Just how hard that was. Just so many people helped me get here and I'm just really thankful for all the help that I've gotten.

Q. Our whole announce team has referenced that really difficult time, that car accident and everything you had to fight through to get here. I wonder if you can look back at the perspective you gain from those dark times. How did it help you reach this victory?

BUD CAULEY: Yeah, once I got the opportunity to start playing again I just told myself that I was going to try to just do everything the right way and give myself the best chance. I put my wife through so much during those dark times and it's just nice to have a little success as kind of a thank you.

Q. Jim Nantz called your chip-in on 12 a shot of a lifetime for you. When you look back at this round, what are you going to be most proud of?

BUD CAULEY: That one was nice. I hit a lot of good shots. I made a lot of good putts. I got a great break on 16 which was nice. I don't know, I'm just very proud of the way I kind of kept going and continued to make birdies there on the back nine and I'm just, I'm so happy.
