Quick Quotes

Q. All right, joining us after the third round of the Dow Championship are Maja Stark and Linn Grant. Obviously wind was a big factor today. Can you talk about how this impacted your round?

LINN GRANT: I think the back nine was a lot tougher coming in, and I think that was clear when you look at our scorecard. It was tough putting, tough hitting shots, and when you don't hit like the same shots on every hole, it's even harder when the wind comes in play.

MAJA STARK: Yeah. It gets tough when you, you know, all of a sudden you have a 5-iron instead of a wedge that you had your last approach shot on and it was several holes ago. So it's a little bit of a weird, and you just kind of have to trust that you know it deep down how to do it, because it just gets hard and especially with like the putting and the wind and -- yeah.

Q. Heading into the final round, knowing you'll have to put up some aggressive scores, are you adjusting your strategy at all? Is one of you you going to play more aggressive or are you just carrying on with what you did yesterday?

LINN GRANT: I feel like we've known the whole week that it's going to come down to the Sunday round. It's a four-ball. You know that someone can go out and shoot really, really low.

I think we're just going to go out and have fun tomorrow and try to give as many birdie putts as possible. Yeah, just enjoy Sunday.

MAJA STARK: Yeah, it felt like we didn't really play bad today. It felt like we had some short putts that we missed coming in. Before that it felt really solid.

So I think that if we just get to get a groove on tomorrow and get to play our own ball, I think that we can, you know, like we don't to have worry about our form or anything.

Q. They say you can't win a golf tournament in one day but you could lose it. In your case, seven of the top 10 teams are above par. With your score you're right in the middle of the hunt, and you must feel like this is something you can sharpen your pencils and kind of pull it out.

LINN GRANT: Yeah, I think, I mean, looking at it today, we talked on 18 and we said if we played singles today Maja said plus two out here would've been fine going into tomorrow. You get a little bit harsher on yourself when you want to play good for your partner.

Yeah, like you're saying, it will be a hunt tomorrow. If we can produce a really good score, I think we'll have a chance to be up there.

MAJA STARK: Yeah, and four-ball is always a bit weird. You have to time it right. Don't miss on the same holes and stuff. I don't know. We seem to do that well yesterday. We didn't miss on the same holes.

So hopefully we can just keep doing that and maybe roll a few more putts in. Feels like we're due to make some really long ones, so, yeah.
