RBC CANADIAN OPEN

June 13, 2026

Jackson Suber

Caledon, Ontario, Canada

TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course)

Quick Quotes

Q. Playing in the final couple groups, third round 66. What did you like about your round today?

JACKSON SUBER: Just kept the ball in front of me. I only got out of position on 16. Besides that, I felt like I was really in control of my game all day. I was giving myself birdie putts, and if they didn't go in it was kind of low-stress pars. I feel like I stayed patient with that, and good to see a birdie at the last.

Q. Speaking of clutch with the birdies, par-5s you've been able to capitalize, what's the key to that on this course?

JACKSON SUBER: I've just hit good drives there and I feel like I've been in a good spot and iron play seems to be my strength. So just hitting good iron shots into these par-5s and giving myself a good chance to get up-and-down or make a 2-putt.

Q. What do you have to do to succeed tomorrow?

JACKSON SUBER: Stay patient. The conditions are going to be really rough and no matter my start, if I start with an eagle or a bogey it's going to be a tough day and it's not going to be won on the first probably 9 to 15 holes, so just staying patient.

Q. Obviously the wind is a big factor here and it seems like it's changing every day. Is there any way to plan for that?

JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, it's been some version of west every day, but like it's hurting, it's helping, it's kind of teetering right on that playing most of these holes cross. So it definitely presents a good challenge, but just going over it with my caddie and helping me figure out before the round.

Q. Supposed to be heavy rain to start the day tomorrow, it's a change on the tee times and stuff, how do you think that will play, especially since on Thursday there was rain during the first round, you have some familiarity with this course when it's wet?

JACKSON SUBER: Drives will probably be going a little shorter and will be easier to stop balls on the green. But it's going to play tough. Any time it's raining it's hard to control your ball and you have to -- this course puts a premium on your driver and hitting the driver is tough in the rain, but just doing what I can to get it in the fairway.

Q. Birdie at The Rink, what was the atmosphere like there?

JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, it was great. That hole's so much fun. Being a Lightning fan, it's cool to see that. But it's just a cool hole. We had some fun out there. Grayson was handing out some Auntie Anne's gift cards, one of my sponsors, so hopefully all the guys out there enjoyed that.

Q. Houston you were in the mix, and then you had your best finish at the Byron Nelson, what's been the big takeaways from that or momentum?

JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, I made a few equipment changes, honestly, that's helped a lot with that, and then just mentally just trying to figure everything out. Trying to be patient and making sure I'm committed to the shot I'm trying to hit.

Q. What were some of the equipment changes?

JACKSON SUBER: I switched from the left dot Pro-V 1, it's a pretty old ball, to just the new standard Pro V-1, and that's been great. It's just been more consistent and giving me more distance, more control, it's just been all around good. The new driver as well -- and a longer driver. So I've been hitting it well off the tee and definitely attribute some of that success to that.

Q. Sleeping with the 54-hole lead, tee box could be nerves. Any of that similar -- you just recently proposed, were you nervous at all?

JACKSON SUBER: (Laughing). I felt really comfortable proposing to her. We've been together for three years and it was just such a good feeling of just knowing that it's right and it was just a great feeling. There's definitely a little nerves, but glad that we're engaged and hopefully married soon.

Q. You birdied on 18, how important was that and did you realize it was going to put you alone a top the leaderboard?

JACKSON SUBER: I saw the lead was at 13 at one point, I've been trying not to look at the leaderboards too much. But I sawing on 17 that it said leaders at 12-under and so I knew that whoever was at 13 maybe had made a bogey. I figured that, but it really didn't matter too much. I knew it was going to be, there's still tomorrow, so a birdie was nice there, but didn't try to force it or anything.

Q. Does it help you for tomorrow to end your round today on a birdie?

JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, for sure, I mean, it's definitely -- people say it makes dinner taste better, but it's definitely more, you know, a little confidence going into tomorrow knowing I birdied the last.

Q. Have you played many TOUR rounds with Wyndham or Bud?

JACKSON SUBER: I played with Wyndham here, actually last year, and I played with him at Byron Nelson when he won. And I don't know, I may have played a practice round with Bud or one round.
