Q. You've officially won your first Curtis Cup match. How are you feeling?

KELLY XU: I feel really good, especially after this morning. Me and Anna really battled through it. I've got to keep Anna as a partner. She was fire this afternoon. I think we put it together a little better, at least on my end.

Q. What is it about match play that you like so much? You're two-time national champion in the team. What is it that you like?

KELLY XU: I think for sure I love the team environment. I love playing for something bigger than myself is always super meaningful to me. Especially in this case, it's like for your country, so it's really easy to get behind that and really put everything you have towards that.

Q. How do you keep this going?

KELLY XU: I think same thing. I know this morning we kind of ran into a little bit of like things didn't roll the way we wanted it to. But this afternoon kind of getting into the groove of it, being dialed, and just getting to know this course better. I think having played two times now, it's getting firmer and getting faster, and it's playing great.
