Quick Quotes

Q. All right, joining us after the second round of the Dow Championship are Polly Mack and Celine Borge. This is your guys' fourth year paired up together. Can you just talk a little bit about how this partnership works or how you continue to learn about one another through the years?

CELINE BORGE: Yeah, so we also live together, so we see a lot of each other. (Laughter.)

But we enjoy each other's company and we like to play together.

POLLY MACK: Yeah, it makes it easy practicing together so we know each other's game really well.

I think over the years we've been watching each other grow the game, getting better every year. It's just kind of fun to watch.

So it's fun out here to see like what comes together from the practices we've spent together before. Yeah, it's just fun knowing each other well and then doing well out here on top of it.

Q. One of you made an eagle on No. 3 today. Will you have walk us through that hole?

CELINE BORGE: That was Polly.

POLLY MACK: Sure. I thought might as well take advantage of the tee up. Hit a good drive down the middle. Had a little bit of trees in my way. I'm more a drawer than a fader so I didn't love the look into the green. I thought I would try to put a little cut on it, because Celine had a really good 3-wood towards the green.

That was a little push more than a cut, but went straight for the pin. Had a good height on it with a 4-iron. Stopped a meter short of the pin and then just a nice three-footer for eagle.

Q. Polly, I know we've talked about this before, but you both have the stars on your hat this week. Tell us a little bit what that means.

POLLY MACK: Do you want to talk about it?

CELINE BORGE: Yeah, so we get a star or a sparkle for every birdie we get.

POLLY MACK: Yeah, and like the standouts are more likely the stars, and then the regular birdies are just a sparkle. Yeah, I guess we gathered a lot these last few days.

Q. Want to avoid bringing the bad juju, but you did miss the cut the last two years. How does it feel to go from that to now matching the low round of the day and leading heading into the weekend?

POLLY MACK: Yeah, I feel like pretty much just golf for you. You know, sometimes you feel it; sometimes you don't. One week is better than the other. But that's why I love this event so much, because you never know.

And I feel like we are really just in sync right now. Even when one is like a little bit in trouble the other one is making the birdie putt. It's pretty cool to see.

CELINE BORGE: We also have good memories from three years ago.

POLLY MACK: Exactly. We have really good memories from three years ago and we know that we can do it, so I think we're even striving for more this year.

Q. Last one: Played both formats now. Heading into the weekend, anything changing or any things you're specifically focused on to keep this momentum going?

CELINE BORGE: Just try to do as best, focus on every shot. (Laughing.)

POLLY MACK: Yeah, pretty much. Just keeping to that game plan. I think we're doing pretty good at it. Might discuss some things over, but I think we have a pretty good strategy.

Just stay in the moment and see what we can get out of it.

Q. Actual last one. What's your team name?

CELINE BORGE: The Real Housemates.
