RBC CANADIAN OPEN

June 11, 2026

Eric Cole

Caledon, Ontario, Canada

TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course)

Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Opening round 64, including two birdies on the final. How would you assess your first round?

ERIC COLE: Yeah, it was really good. I felt in control of my game most of the day and, you know, just tried to kind of keep it out of that rough, because that's kind of the biggest offense today with how soft the greens were.

So, yeah, felt good, and it was definitely nice to birdie the last two.

THE MODERATOR: What are you seeing and liking from this course? It's our second time here.

ERIC COLE: Yeah, I think it's a good course. I think, you know, you do have to stay out of the rough, because there's definitely some thick pockets of it out there.

So, yeah, I definitely need to focus on driving the ball well. I've been playing pretty well, so it's I think a good course for me.

THE MODERATOR: You've been playing pretty well. This is Week 4 in a row. I think back-to-back top 10s. What were the big takeaways the past couple of years during the stretch, and where are you feeling most confident?

ERIC COLE: Yeah, I just think it's that, that I am playing well. It's nice to get that confirmation to be, you know, kind of in contention the last two weeks. I think to kind of get that affirmation that you are doing the right stuff and to kind of keep doing it and just keep going as long as you can.
