NBA FINALS: KNICKS VS. SPURS

June 10, 2026

Dylan Harper

San Antonio Spurs

Game 4: Postgame

Knicks 107, Spurs 106

Q. Something Coach said was he talked to y'all about experiencing whatever emotions you have today before flushing it for two days down the road. How do you process a loss like this? What is happening in the locker room?

DYLAN HARPER: I mean, we just lost about 20 minutes ago. It's hit me, but probably shock. Know what I mean? A whole lot more basketball to be played.

I'm never going -- after this is over, go take a shower, wash it off and go get ready for Game 5. Most important game. Just got to focus on the next 48 minutes.

Q. How is the feeling around the locker room?

DYLAN HARPER: We all definitely hurt. Kind of gave the game up. Was up, what, 30. Hurt. I mean, angry.

I feel like this is all fuel to the fire for us. I feel like we're going to go out next game with a sense of fire and we's going to focus on Game 5. Can't do nothing about it now.

Q. You had a tough loss also in Game 2. You managed to rebound. How can you rebound from this one? What are the next 48 hours looking like?

DYLAN HARPER: Just got to realize that the most important thing is the next game. I think back's against the wall. We've answered the call every time. This is no different for us.

It's no time to complain, no time to point fingers. It's time for us to step up. It's time for us, if we believe we are who we think we are, then it's going to show.

Q. On OG's tip-in, did you feel like the ball was almost in your hands? Was that a great play by him, or was there anything you could have done differently?

DYLAN HARPER: Yeah, bounce off the rim the right way. He tipped it in the right way. It went in.

I could play wish I could have did this, wish I could have did that. But at the end of the day he tipped the ball, and it went in the rim.

I definitely thought I had a hand on it. I definitely think I helped put the ball in the rim. But just got to box out.

Q. To lose a game like that for a group of players like you, how do you think it's going to affect the mental part of the game the rest of the series?

DYLAN HARPER: I feel like as a group, we don't really get into the mental thing. For me, a whole new fire I feel like it's ignited in me in a sense of just gave that game away. If we're going to lose, we're not going out like that. We're going to put up a fight. We're going to keep swinging.

For me personally, I feel like this loss, s---, I mean, I'm going to bounce back. We're all going to bounce back. We're going to show the world what we're made of.

Q. We have seen that the San Antonio Spurs may be young. In the future, what are we expecting from this talented roster?

DYLAN HARPER: I feel like whatever the coaching staff feels best to put on the floor. That's the same lineup we finished with last game. Obviously we all wish we could do things different.

Just got to bounce back, really. I feel like late game, just got to control the game more. Can't just give up big leads like that.

Q. It felt like in the second half there was a lot of jump shots, a lot of quick shots. What did you think about the offensive approach?

DYLAN HARPER: Yeah, we went away from everything we were doing. I think in the first half, a lot of shots went in. A lot of tough shots went in.

But really that was because we were playing the right way. I think we got away from that in the second half because of the lead. We just can't take our foot off the gas. It's one thing for me to sit up here and say it; it's another for us to go out there and do it.
