NASCAR CUP SERIES: FIREKEEPERS CASINO 400

June 7, 2026

Ryan Blaney

Brooklyn, Michigan

Pit Lane Interview

Q. Ryan Blaney, maybe not the result you wanted, but what fight did this team show to you today, Ryan? There are times you would have gladly taken an eighth-place finish today?

RYAN BLANEY: A lot of fight. We just stuck with it all day. Honestly weren't very good. We kind of struggled after practice, didn't qualify great. Was just kind of stuck in the 15th to kind of 25th range depending on where he dropped us.

Got working on it a little bit more and more, got a little better through the day and stayed out of some of the messes, a couple wrecks and was able to scrap together an eighth.

Proud of them for sticking with it all day for sure. Definitely continue to work and try to get better. That's definitely all we can do. We've got a ways to make up to get to the 11. They're on it right now. But second, third, fourth, they were within striking distance of us. Just try to keep working with it, but appreciate Menards, Richmond Ford Racing for what they do with our program. Wish we could have got a Ford in Victory Lane, but try again next week.
