Q. First of all, a question on your physical shape, because I know that you've had a few problems lately. So what about your physical shape?

GIOVANNI MPETSHI PERRICARD: I feel good, of course. Lately I had problems. My wrist was in a bit of a problematic shape for a month on clay, but now I'm better, and I'm ready. 100% ready, so physically I feel good.

Q. I know that you like it when you play in hot conditions, so all the better for you. This first round for you is a bit of a gala round, right? Are you happy about it, or would you have rathered another draw?

GIOVANNI MPETSHI PERRICARD: It's going to be quite a fight. It's quite impressive when you have such a major name as an opponent, but to play well and to win a tournament you have to win against the best.

I'm going to play against him in the first round. No matter what happens at the end of the match, it's going to bring a lot to my game. So I'm very excited. I'm very happy that I have this opportunity.
