THE MODERATOR: Sorry about the match and the fact you had to retire. Can you just explain in English first what you felt and if it's something that you came into the match with or something you felt during the match?

GABRIEL DIALLO: No, it's something that happened during the match. Obviously with the heat and that, and also as well that I didn't have the best preparation coming into it, though we thought we were ready. Yeah, I mean, I struggled with the heat today, and it was getting worse and worse and just had to pull the plug.

THE MODERATOR: Then in French please, the same question. What were you feeling during the match, and why did you decide to retire?

GABRIEL DIALLO: (In French). Well, I suffered from the heat. That's mainly what it was, and it was getting worse and worse. Therefore, I decided to not make it worse.

I was not that prepared enough before I stepped on the court, so I thought it might happen, and it happened. So I'll have to learn from that, and there you go.

THE MODERATOR: Quickly in French, do you think this is a problem that's short-term, or do you think that it's something that you need to take care of for the next weeks?

GABRIEL DIALLO: (In French). No, that's something that we can fix in the week to come I think, and that is, I'll have to sit with the team, see what we can do, and carry out tests. See, perhaps, if it's something that's physiological, and then we'll take it from there.
