ROLAND GARROS

May 26, 2026

Lois Boisson

Paris, France

Press Conference

A. KALINSKAYA/L. Boisson

6-2, 6-2

THE MODERATOR: Lois, obviously not the result that you wanted, but how was it to play out there in front of that great crowd once again?

LOIS BOISSON: Yeah, for sure not the result that I wanted, but yeah, it was nice to see the crowd with me again. But it's not enough to win, obviously, so yeah, that's it.

THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.

Q. Was it hard to come back here after everything that happened last year and knowing that all these eyes were on you to see what you would do this year, especially given the health problems that you've had coming into the tournament?

LOIS BOISSON: No, I was happy to come back here, to be playing here in front of the French crowd, but for sure I hoped to come in a better condition. That was not the case, so yeah, that's it.

THE MODERATOR: Questions in French.

Q. Can you tell us what this match was like from your point of view?

LOIS BOISSON: Well, the match started quite well, and I was quite calm. I was in good shape. I had a good warmup before the match. The waiting period went quite well also.

After the match, not much to say. It didn't go very well.

Q. The fact you're playing on Lenglen, was that a factor? You said in a press conference this is not something that you have control of, so it didn't really intervene?

LOIS BOISSON: I don't know if it was a factor or not, but for me, whatever the court, it doesn't really change much.

We're still at Roland, and all of the courts are more or less the same. So, no, I don't think it had an impact.

Q. How did you feel physically? You were complaining as it went along, and you were sliding a lot. How were you feeling?

LOIS BOISSON: Yes, it was difficult to control my footwork, and I don't know why. It was not a physical problem. Otherwise, physically I was feeling quite good.

Q. Without this, are you talking about the score? Is there anything you regret about this match?

LOIS BOISSON: Yes, a lot.

Q. Can you tell us what?

LOIS BOISSON: Well, just the fact that I came along in these conditions. I know that I'm coming to Roland with very little pace due to all of my injuries, and that's what I regret, that I couldn't manage to stay in good shape.

Q. What will come next for you, Lois? Have you thought about your program and what you want to do in the coming weeks?

LOIS BOISSON: I don't really know yet. It's the grass season, and I think the first tournament is in a little under two weeks.

Q. Lois, when things are like this, what do you hang on to to try and look at things positively and look ahead? What can you hang on to to motivate yourself here?

LOIS BOISSON: Well, first of all, over this past month I've just been hanging on to my passion for tennis. This is what I love to do, so I'm doing everything to come back into my game on the court.

But it's not always enough, because I would have liked things to have gone differently. It's the only thing that helps me to hang on today, the fact that I need to get back on the court, because I love playing tennis. I'm not playing enough. Not as much as I would like to every year.
