THE MODERATOR: Diane, congratulations. You're now qualified for the third round of Roland Garros. Can you talk us through your match and how you're approaching your next round?

DIANE PARRY: Really happy to be again in the third round here in Paris. I always want to be able to perform well, so pretty happy to be able to do it for now and happy also about the level of my match.

It was a tough one, but I was, I think, pretty solid, and my game was here today. A bit always tough to finish it, but happy the way I played, and I will try to prepare my next match the best I can to be able to do something nice.

THE MODERATOR: Questions in French.

Q. Diane, you had to stop the match when there was almost nobody on the court. How did you manage this? Had you prepared something? Had you thought this might happen? That is, there weren't that many people watching the match to start with.

DIANE PARRY: Not really. This is a huge court, and usually when the matches start there are fewer people. I didn't pay attention to this. I was really focusing on my match and what I had to do on the court. But it was so enjoyable to see that people were coming in as the match was developing.

The atmosphere was really good, but to start with, no, that's not something I pay attention to.

Q. Now, since the beginning of the clay season, I think you had ups and downs and some difficulties. Now, how come you're fairing better here at Roland?

DIANE PARRY: Well, I think that if you look at the recent weeks, I'm back to my normal game level, and I've gained trust as well. That's why I can play well here at Roland, the French Open.

Had the other matches before been not that good, I wouldn't have gained confidence. I wouldn't be ready to do good things. The weeks before, that is, the run-up before Roland Garros, are important weeks so that I'm totally ready for Roland Garros. All the work I did physically as well before the match, it pays off after a while.

Q. Now, you were surprised during the first round. Is that the reason why you wanted to be more offensive, which is what you showed during the match? You wanted to be very offensive from the word go.

DIANE PARRY: Yeah, and I knew that she would put in a fight as well. She would try and dictate the game. If I gave her too much leeway, she would be really hitting hard on me.

It was very important for me to be here, present. From the first minute that I was in the match, I wanted to do something good. I'm very happy, because I could do this immediately from the beginning.

It's not always easy, but it's always very important to be able to start this way with good intensity to have good legwork so that I could continue throughout the match.

Q. Chloe Paquet loves the PSG team. You might have been converted, thanks to her. Would it be awful for you to play at 6 p.m. on Saturday?

DIANE PARRY: It wouldn't be really good, yeah. I live in Paris. I have three older brothers. So this is it. I've always heard about the PSG, and I'm always supporting them, always with them.

Saturday's going to be a big event, once again. I hope I'll be playing earlier and be 100% present to watch this match and support the PSG team.

I suppose that it's not going to be too late at that time. At least not going to schedule it too late.

Q. You reached this round, the third round, four years ago. Will you be thinking about this match? Will there be memories bubbling up?

DIANE PARRY: No, time has gone by since then. I think I'm a different player today. I play against a different player as well. The conditions are not the same.

Well, no, why should I think about four years ago? Nothing makes me think about four years ago.

I'm very much focused, and I've got to play doubles before that. Then I'll prepare this match as best as I can with my team. I'll practice tomorrow, and then I recover my energy so that I can bother Amanda as much as I can for the next match.

Q. Now, there's you, there's Moise, good performers. Is it the year for young French today here?

DIANE PARRY: It would be a good thing. I watched his match very carefully before my warmup, before I stepped on the court. It was 6-All in the fifth set, so I really hoped he would be the winner. He has shown so many things. Good qualities is what he has.

I think he can do good things during the tournament. It's always pleasant to see that the French can do better things here French Open.
