Q. 3-under 68; great round today. I think five birdies. Talk about the position you've put yourself in.

SEI YOUNG KIM: I played better than yesterday, yeah, for sure. I mean, temperature's a little warmer, so I feel like more free. So that's why I play better, I think. This weekend especially my friends and family, they all came out here. Yeah, I very enjoyed it, yeah.

Q. We pushed 10 up today; plays very differently; you had a birdie. Talk us through that hole.

SEI YOUNG KIM: So hole 10, yeah, I mean, my tee shot's a little pull there, so I expected my ball position to be really bad.

But, yeah, my ball was sitting down in the rough. I was a little way too right on the next shot. But it's too short, so I tried to just try to hit it closer to the pin so it just helps what I did.

So, yeah I made a birdie.

Q. How much did winning in Korea last year free you up, winning on the LPGA again?

SEI YOUNG KIM: What did you say?

Q. How much did winning on the LPGA again last year kind of free up your mind?

SEI YOUNG KIM: I mean, it's been a long time since I win a major championship. Last time it was 2020, KPMG. So, yeah, maybe I played under the pressure tomorrow, but I try to just what I have to do to focus on the, yeah, on the course.

But this course is really need patient and just focus on one shot at a time. Yeah, it's boring but I have to do it. (Laughing).

Q. What do you think having won a major already when you're on a leaderboard with so many gals up there who have won majors, what does that do for you having that experience for tomorrow?

SEI YOUNG KIM: Yeah, I mean, after I finished, I see the scoreboard, that was first time I see the scoreboard, with a lot of good golfers, especially Nelly and then Gaby, who I played with.

Yeah, it's always feels great to play with great players. I'm competitive, so it's really like I'm lucky to play with them, yeah.
