Quick Quotes
Q. You've been in two straight U.S. Women's Opens. Second straight time playing the weekend. What's it like having so much success in college and the amateur game and then coming here and putting on a performance like you just did today?
MARIA JOSE MARIN: I think the events in college kind of prepare you for the biggest stage. I think you're competing week by week with the best amateurs in the world. I mean, you can see Farah, Kiara, they're here and playing the weekend.
So I think these type of tournaments really prepare you for what you face here. Of course course conditions and everything, it's way different from what I'm used to.
But, yeah, I think also enjoying the week is what's giving me the best result now.
Q. You had six birdies today. What was the strongest part of your individual game that got you into attack mode?
MARIA JOSE MARIN: I think the course strategy overall, I think it's a course where you have to be really precise where you want to hit it, where you're going to miss it, where do you want to have your best chance to make a par.
For the birdie holes, yeah, just took my chances. I think my putter has been really solid on the weekend. That's what helped me. And of course my chipping over the year. I think it's no joke chipping out of this rough, so I had a pretty good bounce over there and the ball was sitting up in the tee, so...
Q. Top 10 right now. Obviously in the hunt for the Low Am. What's it going to be like teeing it up tomorrow, Sunday, going for that Low Amateur for the championship?
MARIA JOSE MARIN: I think my mind kind of -- it's kind of into that (Wind interference) but a lot can happen in 18 holes. I think I'm just going to go and face the last round with the same strategy I've been facing it. Enjoying the whole week, enjoying what's going to be tomorrow, because there is for sure going to be a lot of people over her, and, yeah, just play good golf and the rest will come.
