APHRODITE DENG: Yeah.

Q. Talk to me about that hot start.

APHRODITE DENG: Yeah, it was definitely a hot start. I made a chip-in which was pretty lucky and a couple putts, so that helped.

Q. How were the conditions today compared to the first two days? Did you see it playing easier, less wind?

APHRODITE DENG: No, I think the conditions are still really hard. I saw everyone playing really good so I knew I had to play good today. I just hit all my shots straight and put myself in better positions.

Q. You won the U.S. Junior Girls amateur. What does that experience, being in contention in a big tournament, winning -- you currently sit top 10 in this tournament. Can you take anything you learned from that tournament and bring it into this?

APHRODITE DENG: Yeah, I learned a lot from that tournament just playing in front of the camera. It's match play so it's very tight, the scoring. It kind of like helped me with my nerves this week.

Q. You made a few big putts today, especially the one on 16. You looked really confident. Talk about that.

APHRODITE DENG: Yeah, my putting was good today. I was just trusting my line and just getting my speed right, so, yeah.

Q. What's your mindset tomorrow? You usually seem really calm, cool, and collected. Are you feeling any nerves or anything at all?

APHRODITE DENG: No, I think just the same mindset. Just getting myself in the right spots on this course. It can play really tough if you're out of position, so, yeah.
