Q. We were just talking about your friend group, your fan base. What does it mean to you to have your fellow college friends out here today?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I think just once you graduate college it is a big transition, where you're headed over to someone's house every day it feels like in college and then you graduate and suddenly you don't see them -- I mean, like one of my friends I don't think I've seen them in person in like six years, since COVID has hit.

So, no, it's really special just to have so many friends still in LA and still so close and able to come out this weekend. Heard them all cheering for me today. Just means a little more to have them out.

Q. Absolutely. Speaking of LA, what does it mean to you to be back and play at Riv?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I love LA so much. I mean, it was like the best eight years of my life and I hope I get back someday.

Just really special. I mean, I didn't practice out here but practiced at Brentwood and Wilshire and a few of the local clubs here. Been in the area for a long time and feels really comfortable to be back.

Q. Amazing. You went birdie, birdie on the last two. Walk us through the mentality on those last two.

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I feel like me and Jay are always kind of talking about like, hey, let's get a strong finish. I feel like more often than not I birdie at least one if not both of them.

I mean, 17 is a par-5 so it's always a good look for birdie. And then 18 I've had a bit of a vendetta. Bogeyed it the last two days. Hit a really good approach shot in; didn't hold the green, but had a good putt from the back.

Q. And then you're top 10 today, Top 9. What's your approach going into tomorrow?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Really just keeping it the same. I mean, this isn't really a course I think you can press for birdies. It's just kind of play your game and take the opportunities as they come. So trying to stay patient tomorrow and just see how it all folds out.
