Quick Quotes
Q. Second U.S. Women's Open for you. How did it feel now having a little bit of experience?
MARIA JOSE MARIN: It felt pretty good, being by those on the biggest stage of golf, that's something that I'm proud of and that I was looking forward to since ANWA. It's a way different experience from last year, the conditions of the course, and overall the experience is different from Erin Hills.
I'm just really grateful to be here. It's a beautiful course. Amazing opportunity the women have to play at Riviera. Pretty happy with how the round turned out today.
Q. How does it feel to be in L.A.? You had a lot of support out there. It seems like a really great venue for the players and for yourself. How was it?
MARIA JOSE MARIN: This is my first time in L.A., so I got to know the city a little bit. I like it. My parents have been there. I've never, but I really like it.
I have a lot of support from people. There are a lot of Spanish speaking people, so it's always good to hear that out on the course. Yeah, just clapping and cheering for me. I like that. I really enjoy that.
Q. Then just a really steady round for you, only one bogey, two birdies. How were the conditions, and how do you feel you played?
MARIA JOSE MARIN: The conditions are getting tougher and tougher every day. It's a way different course from what I practiced on Monday. The greens are getting harder. They're getting a little faster. So it's just going to get faster and more bouncy.
They're U.S. Open conditions, and the USGA always does a great job in setting up the courses to give out the best show in golf.
