Q. Obviously not quite the result you wanted, but just overall thoughts on the day.

ERIC COLE: Yeah, I was proud with the way I played. I think I played solid for the most part, I drove the ball pretty well. Yeah, I just needed to get a shave a shot somewhere. But, yeah, no, I was proud of the way I played and it's disappointing but I still feel good and happy with the way I played.

Q. Being in contention, having that double on 9, just how did that affect you?

ERIC COLE: Yeah, no, it wasn't part of my plan, for sure. Double bogeys aren't good. But, no, I just told myself after that, when I got to 10 tee, I think I was tied for the lead or right there, and I just said, this is a good spot to be, I would have probably taken that starting the week, so try and capitalize on being in that position.

Q. Talk about the playoff and the putt on 18.

ERIC COLE: Yeah, I couldn't really see how close Russ was, but obviously it was pretty close, based on the reaction. I hit a good wedge, but I think it just spun back a little bit too much or something. The putt was good, I hit it pretty much where I was aiming, I just kind of misread it. I thought it might start breaking left a little earlier.

Q. What does a result like this do for your confidence for the rest of the season?

ERIC COLE: Yeah, it's definitely a positive, for sure. I was really happy with the way I played yesterday, obviously. Then today, in the final group, trying to win at Colonial on the PGA TOUR is a big spot. I felt like my game was pretty solid most of the day, and just take what I can from it and move on.

Q. You're in next week to the Memorial through the Aon Swing 5. Talk about having the opportunity to play that and kind of have a fresh start next week?

ERIC COLE: Yeah, for sure. That's something -- I haven't played any Signature Events this year, so it's definitely nice to get in one. I really like that tournament, so I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Q. Win or lose, talk about having the support of your wife here today.

ERIC COLE: Yeah, no, it was awesome. I saw her out there supporting me, which was great. Definitely makes the outcome, not being exactly what I wanted, it's going to make it feel a lot better when we kind of get away from the course and relax later tonight. Happy birthday to my mom, too.
