THE CJ CUP BYRON NELSON

May 24, 2026

Jackson Suber

McKinney, Texas, USA

TPC Craig Ranch

Quick Quotes

Q. Jackson, in with a final round 8-under 63. How would you describe that round?

JACKSON SUBER: It was great. I had a pretty good start on the front and had a few times I had to chip out and kind of wedge it on the green and make a putt. Had a lot of tap-ins when I did that. It was nice not to hit the hero shot -- just chip it out, wedge it on, and have a tap-in.

Q. You slipped under the radar on Friday in the second to last group with a 61, which was pretty impressive. How would you compare today's round with that round?

JACKSON SUBER: I didn't know what I shot at the end of the 10-under day. That one probably felt a little bit better.

Today was pretty similar. I was just playing golf, and putts were going in. I was hitting great approach shots. Just felt like everything else I was working on kind of had been working out.

Q. If it stays what it is, this might be the best finish for you on the PGA TOUR this year. Looking forward, looks like you moved up in the Aon Swing 5, and there's a possibility to get into a Signature Event in a couple of weeks. What does this mean to you at this point in the season?

JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, it's great. I was third or fourth alternate in the Colonial, and the tournament director gave me a spot on Friday. I'm just glad to be playing there. Now to even have a chance to go play well next week because they gave me that spot and try to get into Memorial, it's huge.

Q. When did you find out about getting a spot next week. You said Friday?

JACKSON SUBER: Friday, yeah.

Q. How did that affect the way you played this weekend, do you think?

JACKSON SUBER: Yeah, it definitely helps knowing -- I mean, a top 10, I don't think meant anything for next week because it's an invitational. I mean, it didn't really -- I wasn't really thinking of that in the back of my mind, but to know that I had a place to play next week is nice.

I don't want to go sit on the couch at home and not play tournaments. That's what I want to do.

Q. How much fun are you having this year?

JACKSON SUBER: It's been great. My golf game's been really good. It felt awesome. Just been trying to stay patient, and I'm glad it's paying off.
