Q. Just thoughts on the round today? Bogey free but five back finish. How does that feel?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: A golf course like this, you've got to make a ton of birdies. You've got to either hit it pretty amazing and hole a few putts or hit it good and hole a bunch of putts. I hit it decent to good and I holed a few putts. I didn't hole a bunch of putts or hit it incredible.

Overall, I felt like I was close this week, but like you said, a few shots out of it.

Q. Can you talk us through that shot on 6? It looked like it went in and came out. What did you see from the fairway there?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: All you could see from my angle is the ball coming down the hill. I couldn't tell you what it did. It looked like it landed right in front of the cup.

When you're winning tournaments, those are the ones that sometimes go in. When you're not winning tournaments, those are the ones that hit the pin and kind of go 50, 60 feet away.

Q. Just your thoughts on the final round for Wyndham? That's pretty impressive.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I didn't get to see much of it, he was the group in front of us. I didn't get to see much of it, but I would assume -- what did he shoot, 60? I would assume he hit it pretty good and made a whole lot of putts.

Yesterday he putted really, really good. The only putt I can really remember him missing, he missed two putts on the last couple holes. Outside of that, he was holing everything yesterday. Sometimes you've just got to tip your cap and say good playing, and 60 was going to be pretty tough to beat today.

Overall, I'm proud of this week for myself, but I wish I could have gotten a few more shots out of it. Overall, Wyndham played great golf.

Q. Final thoughts on the week with fans and spectators and everybody out here?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, it was a good week. Like I said, it's always fun to play in my hometown. The crowd support was great this week. Like I said, it was a lot of fun.

I wish I would have made a few more birdies, but overall it was a lot of fun.

Q. I know you weren't counting top 3s, but you have six of them now. Does that tell you how close you are to having a remarkable season?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I'm sure, if you looked statistically, I'm probably not much different than I have been the past couple years, just a few shots here and there. A couple things go my way in some tournaments.

This season looks a bit differently, but like you said, I've been playing some solid golf. Just keep putting myself in position, and things will turn my way.

Q. When you made a par at 12, did you know that was your first 5 of the week?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: No, but you know around this place, what did Wyndham finish out, around 30-under? If you're going to play 30-under, you can't be making too many 5s.
