Quick Quotes

Q. There was a point today where you lost -- you briefly lost the lead, but you didn't seem fazed by that. What do you think the key to that was for you to get your round turned around?

SI WOO KIM: It was a tough day for me. Then 10, 11 I made a mistake. Then my caddie told me -- after that my caddie told me, you're in the rush. So you've got to calm down and try to think a couple more things.

After that, I made a birdie on 12 -- 13? Yeah. I think 13 I make birdie. It really calms me down. Then turn it back to yesterday mood. I was thinking about too much scoring like first 10, 11 holes. So I'm just trying to be back to kind of like yesterday.

Yeah, just trying to hit the good shots and trying to like all the mojo's back.

Q. You've played a lot of rounds with Scottie just casually and in tournament play. Do you think that will be helpful for you tomorrow if you guys are paired together?

SI WOO KIM: I think no matter what, it's going to be fun, especially Dallas, kind of like my second hometown. He grew up here. It's going to be a lot of fans cheering for him. I know, of course, everyone's cheering for him.

Yeah, it's going to be fun. I was hoping for a pairing with Scottie. Yeah, it's going to be fun Sunday and fun to go with with Scottie.

Q. Nobody makes more birdies on the TOUR this year than you, and this course requires birdies to compete to win. Are you built for this particular moment in that way?

SI WOO KIM: I never thought about it, this many birdies. But every hole is pretty much like can make a birdie. So I try to make as many as possible and also try to not make bogey. Then I have to make two birdies.

Yeah, I think kind of have to be aggressive but not too crazy aggressive.

Q. Similar question, as someone who does make a lot of birdies, is protecting a two-shot lead to start the round, are you built for that too? You're not trying to par, par, par along, like you're trying to race ahead with everyone else.

SI WOO KIM: Yeah, this course is definitely not a protecting course. I still going to have to shoot 6- to 9-under for a win, especially with Scottie. I'm just going to play same attitude as first two days and try to make birdies where I can and then stay aggressive, and we'll see.

I've got to adjust depending what position I am, but I'm just going to stay aggressive.
