Quick Quotes
Q. All right, we are joined by Jin Young Ko after the final round of the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G. Bogey-free 65 today. Can you just walk us through how things were going out there and maybe the differences between yesterday and today.
JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, I so happy to be like -- happy to playing 5-under today and then bounce back from yesterday.
Well, yeah, today was pretty fun, and then I had solid game today. And it's been a long time to playing with Nelly. I thought when was the last time playing with Nelly, I was thinking last night, and was like half -- one year half years ago, like one and a half years ago.
So it took long time, and then we talking about like LPGA, like we growing together, we playing so much time last many years. And feels like she has fiance right now and I got married. It feels so weird. We are talking about how many kid we want, and so weird talking with Nelly, but also was pretty fun to playing with Nelly as always.
Q. And going off that, you had some big crowds following you around there today. Can you talk about how fun it is when those crowds are that big and getting excited for you?
JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, it's been a long time since playing in front of lots of fans, since maybe three years ago, I don't know. So pretty fun and good nervous and play solid and got some claps from them.
So pretty fun.
Q. And then what do you think was the best part about your game today? Looks like you hit a lot of fairways and greens.
JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, well, better than yesterday, of course. I don't know, I just trying to do all I'm doing and just keep the fairway. If not, it's okay. Still on the course, so just like forgive myself if I have mistakes.
So maybe I believe my husband like making.
Q. What were the overall conditions like on the golf course today?
JIN YOUNG KO: Well, I was wearing -- like last night had big rain so I was thinking, oh, today is going to be wet again, but wasn't. Pretty good golf conditions overall and greens are okay, so we play good.
Q. You found something that really worked for you this week. What does that do for you now going forward? What will you take away from this good week?
JIN YOUNG KO: I think so far I finished top 10, inside top 10. It's been like almost a year. That's pretty -- I'm almost crying maybe.
But I -- this is why I've been working hard and I want to be good player before better person, so that is the like huge to think realize I was thinking golf is like 100% in my life. But when I'm struggle I felt golf is not everything in my life. I have good friends, good family, good manager, good all staffs behind me.
So I'm trying to be thankful them and golf is just golf. When I'm dying, I'm not going to think, why did I hit the shot at the some holes like this?
So this is like huge momentum to think better person.
