Q. All right, joined by Ryann O'Toole after her third round of the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G. A little bit of weather this morning, but finally got the third round under way.
RYANN O'TOOLE: Yeah.
Q. Is the course playing any different at all with the rain that came through?
RYANN O'TOOLE: It's playing a little softer. Fairways have softened a bit, at least when I just came through comparative to the last couple days, I felt like there were a few holes that were running through fairways because it was so firm.
So this slowed them down a little bit. Just softened them. Greens also I think had a little bit more receptivity to them, but otherwise, I mean, I don't think it slowed the pace of the greens down too much.
I felt like this morning actually warming up I was like, oh, these greens feel faster today. Maybe just even them out.
Q. Talk a little about the putting today. Only 24 putts on the greens, put together a 5-under round. How are these greens rolling and how do you feel on them?
RYANN O'TOOLE: I definitely felt like I struggled the last two days on them. They're bumpy in some spots and then some spots you'll get some good rolls. So I think it's one of those that if you -- you just try to stay confident and put a good roll on it, and if goes in it goes in.
I saw a few go in early and I think that really helps. I feel like it sets the tone differently than if, say, you're missing some lines.
So I think coming off from last week it's very different.
Q. And been pretty then difficult to put out some low scores on this course this week. You were able to do that. Jumped into the top 10 as we speak. Can you just talk about just going into Sunday now, where the confidence is at and how you're feeling?
RYANN O'TOOLE: Well, you know, it's interesting to see. This course is all out in front of you. The fairways are narrow. The rough has its challenging spots. There is a couple really hard, funky holes.
But it's one of those that I think if you can get the putts to fall you can score on this course. I think that's just been the biggest challenge for all of us, is that lines aren't really holding. They take a bounce. I don't think the greens are fully healed from being punched a month ago.
But I think that's the defense of this golf course right now, and I think just staying patient. I was happy to come out and get a low round in and kind of sneak up there and see if I can do something again tomorrow.
I think that's all you really can do. I think it's really going to come down to whose putter gets hot and that's about it.
Q. And then you mentioned the fairways being narrow. With the weather that came in, did they widen them up -- not widen them up, but does it feel a little bit wider without so much roll-out, or still getting roll-out out there?
RYANN O'TOOLE: Well, give and take, right? If it gets a little softer then it's not bouncing through the rough the same either. Yeah, some fairways like six you're running through; seven you can reach the bunker on the left, par-5.
So there is certain holes you are maxxing out, like the running out of room, but then same thing is when it was dry and fast you can kind of spring it out of the rough.
So it has its give and takes. For the most part it's still holding well. If it doesn't get too much more rain it will be back to firm and fast tomorrow.
