DAPHNE VAN HOUTEN: I have to be happy because I have long COVID for three years now, and I'm very, very struggling. Like I burst out in tears, I would have done that either way if I would have won or lost because it's such a battle to play three rounds in a row.

I should be happy with myself, but I am very frustrated because of the illness.

Q. I'm trying to be positive for you because you got so close, just one shot. You must be at this point with 18 as well because she makes 4. Did you think you could do it at that point on 18 tee when I think you were one-shot ahead?

DAPHNE VAN HOUTEN: I felt like it because I was getting quite some confidence because of 16, 17. I was one behind on 15, and I won two shots back, one on 16, one on 17, to go one in front. I hoped I could just make a par and it's done.

But with how I've been playing, I wasn't that sure about myself. Three years ago it would have been a par for sure, and now I knew I'm not playing fine. I hit it in the bunker. I knew I was going to lay it up. I knew my approach shots weren't the best. My putting wasn't that fine. Then I knew I was in trouble already.

Q. It was a bit frustrating maybe as well? You gave yourself a lot to do.

DAPHNE VAN HOUTEN: Yeah, it was the first round. I felt like only yesterday is the only day I can say I played decent golf.

Q. You go away now -- obviously you finished second, so still a good finish, but do you just try and get yourself hopefully healthier than you want to be?

DAPHNE VAN HOUTEN: The main focus is going to be getting more healthy. I was already in doubt when I arrived here if it's the right thing to do, to play golf or focus on me. I need to take a medication that will make me first very sick and then make me better, and I've been postponing that for this tournament.

It's difficult to decide which one is better. But it's an amazing venue and I'm so happy that I played.
