Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Jennifer Kupcho after her second round at the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G. Bogey-free for you today. How tough was it out there to go bogey-free?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: Yeah, it's definitely hard. I think I kept it under control pretty well. I really just gave myself a lot of birdie putts.
I would say my greatest par save was on 6. I missed the green probably 30 yards short and chipped up to 15 feet and made the putt.
Greens are a bit bouncy, so you have to hope they go in, and today they were going in.
Q. We've seen a little bit of correlation with more fairways hit, better scores. Is that the key to success out here?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: Yeah, the rough out here is pretty thick. I think as well as like it's hard to control the balls coming into the green with it being thick, but it's firm so bouncing everything up. Sometimes there some bunkers in front of the greens.
So, yeah, definitely hitting it in the fairway is really good.
Q. Gotten to see this course a few times now. What does it best suit your game with and what are you still maybe trying to figure out?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: I don't know. It's a bit of a goofy course I think for me. I hit it almost too far off the tee. I really like hitting driver versus hitting 3-wood. So I can hit driver through the fairway, so I kind of just have to just take those holes and I'll be in the rough on them just because I don't hit my 3-wood as straight. I would rather be straight than short and off line.
Q. Last one: What do you take away from this round heading into the weekend?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: I think just keep going out and having fun. I've been playing really well, trusting my putter, I mean, not getting too butt hurt if it doesn't go in.
Just not take it personally on these greens. They're not super smooth, so just kind of have to accept it and move on.
