Q. Nelly, solid round of golf today. How many times were you thinking Coca-Cola out there on your swing thought?

NELLY KORDA: A couple times. It's usually one of those things when I start to hit my driver bad I kind of revert back to just thinking about tempo, so a few times I thought about it. But definitely going to go to the range. Don't really feel too great with my driver right now.

Q. Pretty smart move. Looking at the interview you did with McAfee on ESPN I found it absolutely fascinating. I learned things about you that I didn't know and I've been following you quite a bit. One of the things was your shoes. Now, I know Nike made these shoes for you.

NELLY KORDA: Yeah.

Q. How important was it for you to have input in the design of the shoes with Nike?

NELLY KORDA: Yeah, I mean, actually these are the ones that Scottie wore, but I always found it really fascinating. I would grow up watching Jason Day when he was playing or wearing Nike and he would wear three different shoes during a tournament. I was like, how does he do that? I'm just so particular about what I have on my feet.

Definitely really comfortable and these are so comfortable on the golf course, too, and they're working out.

Q. And taking it back to this particular golf course, it presents some big challenges. How have you prepared for those challenges?

NELLY KORDA: Just by being patient. It can get really frustrating out here. The rough is really thick in some areas, so if you do find the rough it does get a little bit difficult, especially if they start to tuck the pin locations.

So going to try and work on my driver a little bit to give myself some more opportunities.
