Q. All right, joined by Emma McMyler after her first round at the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G. Emma, back on a course you're pretty familiar with. Looked like a scrappy round out there today. Can you just talk about some high points and what happened on a couple of those doubles out there?
EMMA McMYLER: Yeah, I played a couple holes pretty well. Was able to make some birdies. Made some good swings with my approaches and was able to capitalize with some good putts.
Yeah, I had a few slip away there, couple doubles, so that kind of hurt. But a lot of potential out there. Just keep doing the good things that I'm doing and go play well tomorrow.
Q. A lot of players have come through so far mentioning scrambling is really big around this golf course. Looked like it was for you today as well. Can you kind of talk about maybe what your experience kind of helps out on on that scrambling and maybe some lines on putts that you are more familiar with than others?
EMMA McMYLER: Yeah, I think it's important to know that the hard holes are going to play pretty difficult and pars are going to be good scores on those holes. And if you miss the green, just giving yourself a look at par is important.
I know that there is lot of slope on a few the greens so playing the high line is kind of important to give yourself a chance. If not, you're tapping it in for a two-putt.
So that was pretty important out there, and I was able to use that to my advantage.
Q. Any holes play different than maybe how you though since the last time you played the course?
EMMA McMYLER: Um, well, there used to be two back-to-back par-5s, so that was a little bit different. I don't know what hole that is, but they play it as a par-4 now, so that was a little bit different. They play is shorter so it's just different from whenever I played.
Q. Did it feel like a home game, home match at certain points throughout the day today? I saw you had a good crowd following you guys today.
EMMA McMYLER: Yeah, in a way it was awesome to have support on the there. I know there was a lot of Xavier fans and Maddie's family was out there, too, so it was awesome to see them again, as I hadn't seen them in a while.
Yeah, it was awesome to feel the hometown support in a way.
Q. What was it like to be paired up with Maddie today?
EMMA McMYLER: Yeah, it was super fun. I know she's coming off playing in regionals so she's got a lot of golf she's been playing, but it was awesome to get to play with her again. I know we played a lot of rounds in college together, so it was a fun round.
Q. Extra special too. Maybe a lot of familiar faces around you today, whether it was your caddie today or former teammate. What was that experience like?
EMMA McMYLER: Yeah, it was cool. I Darrelyn, I never played with her on the team, but I've met her quite a few times and she's great.
And then my dad was also caddieing for me, so it was fun to get to play with all of them and have them around for the round.
Q. You had the two doubles, but on the next hole on each of them you birdie. You're on 18 finishing up with a birdie. But just how big is that for you mentally as a rookie, the ups and downs of this Tour, to have that bounceback mentality and turn it into a couple birdies?
EMMA McMYLER: Yeah, it's big for me. Bouncing back after doubles, it's always great. Just having the reset and knowing it's a new hole and giving yourself the new opportunity to go make a good score on the next shot.
