Quick Quotes
Q. Brendan, how is your form coming into G4D?
BRENDAN LAWLOR: I had a pretty different winter to usual. I was abroad in Australia, went to America for a few times to play a bit of golf. Played over on the Golf Australia Tour for a few events. I had a lot of preparation coming into this one, which is a little bit different than usual.
Yeah, it felt pretty good. Felt pretty good.
Q. How does it feel to be defending champion going into tomorrow?
BRENDAN LAWLOR: Obviously it's an incredible achievement. I'm extremely so proud of it. It's unbelievable, but you can't think of that when you go out and play. You have to put all that to the side and just go out and do the best you can.
I'm playing well. I'm still have a good shot for the next two days. It's a course that can bite you in some spots. So I'm just going to go out and try to keep doing what I'm doing. Minimize the three-putts, I played a few today, and keep going.
Q. You had a great front nine. How do you feel you played today?
BRENDAN LAWLOR: I played solid today. I played really well from tee to green. I struggled to put my putt in a wee bit. I think it's going to do that to everybody. There's going to be greens where you three-putt. The biggest thing is staying patient out there and maybe not going for certain pins, just having a proper game plan when you play a course like this, which is fun. It means you have to tinker around a bit.
When you play in America, you can make a lot of birdies, but The G4D Open is designed to be hard, and that's what it is.
Q. What's your game plan going into tomorrow?
BRENDAN LAWLOR: I'm going to try to stay calm, just keep doing what I'm doing. Keep hitting greens, try to make putts. I said at the start of the week, my goal is to get to the final group on Saturday and get myself in position to win it again.
