Q. Lucas Herbert, after a round that wasn't quite as easy as the first two days, you said your goal was to make progress and commit to shots and all those things you came into the week wanting to do. Were you happy with what you did today?

LUCAS HERBERT: Yeah, I think there's some good positives to take out of that. There's some shots that I really did a good job committing to.

You know, it's hard to start with a six-shot lead. I empathize with whether it's marathon runners who set the pace out there in front of the peloton or guys on the Tour de France who go early and -- I just feel like everyone in the field is trying to catch you. You're watching guys early making it happen because they know they've got nothing to lose. I've got everything to lose. So I can empathize with those guys.

Yeah, I'm just going to have to do a good job of it tomorrow. I'm still in the lead, still got a three-shot lead. If I do what I need to do tomorrow, I should be fine.

Q. I was talking to your wife Erica, and having followed you in some of your more successful tournaments in recent times, Erica said you thrive in this type of environment, when the pressure's high, when the stakes are on the line. Is that true?

LUCAS HERBERT: Yeah, I think in a weird way, I like it. I think the shot I pulled off there on 17, I would have loved to make the putt to sort of, I guess, cap off that because I felt like I was in between clubs. I hit the shorter one quite hard, and I thought that was going to be a tricky shot off that lie.

When you pull that off, there's no better feeling. In order to win tomorrow, the way that feels, there's no better feeling, and it's worth all the shit times that you get out here with golf that is part of the circus and what you deal with traveling around earning your living every week.
