Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Ronni Yin after her third round at the Mizuho Americas Open. Pretty solid round from you today; 4-under. Just take us through the round especially the bounceback after 15.
RUONING YIN: Today's round is pretty solid. I think I play smarter than yesterday. I left myself a really good position on the greens so it's easy to putt.
Well, the bounceback after 15 was -- I was happy about it, but I wasn't happy about the triple. But I was happy about I can make a birdie straight after.
So, I mean, that triple just, I don't know. Just my brain, it's not working on this hole.
Q. Besides that, no bogeys on the scorecard. What were you doing to keep yourself out of those bogey situations?
RUONING YIN: I mean, on these green just need to put yourself below the hole. If you're below the hole highly likely you're not going to putt off the green.
Yeah, I'm very curious about the putting stats this week, yeah.
Q. Only missed two greens in regulation today. Improvements from the last couple rounds. How are you figuring out how to approach these greens?
RUONING YIN: I think today's green -- I think it's softer than yesterday, and there is a few holes they moved up the tee box so it's shorter. I think that helps.
I think just really need to commit to your target and then just don't think about attack the pin sometimes.
Q. Three strokes back from Jeeno, the leader. Heading into tomorrow, what's it going to take to hopefully get your first win of the year?
RUONING YIN: Absolutely. I think I just need to do the same thing as today and just keep my brain working the whole 18 holes and we'll be good.
