Q. All right, joining us after the third round of the Mizuho Americas Open is Aphrodite Deng. Aphrodite, really strong round today. Obviously playing Stableford, but you did have a 68. What was going well for you on the golf course?

APHRODITE DENG: Yeah, I think the pins and conditions were a little easier today even though it rained. I was just trying to put myself in the right positions, and if I make the putt, I make the putt.

So I made a couple birdies out there and it worked out.

Q. You live in New Jersey, from Short Hills, New Jersey. How does this comfortability help you out having a little bit more familiarity versus the places you usually travel for tournaments?

APHRODITE DENG: Yeah, I know like the grass coming in. I know it's going to be long rough.

And just to have all my fans out there supporting me from local is really cool, too.

Q. And then you've played few LPGA Tour events before. How do you think that helps just having some level of comfortability around the pros? This wasn't your first time playing in an LPGA grouping with professional players.

APHRODITE DENG: Yeah, definitely feel really comfortable around them just knowing like how they play and they take their time a lot and I know what to expect.

So, yeah.

Q. You won this event last year. What does it mean for you be in a point of contention at this point again?

APHRODITE DENG: Yeah, it means a lot. I have a lot of confidence now, especially because last year I won. So I'm just going to go into tomorrow and just try it play the best I can.
