THE MODERATOR: Third round 64. How would you assess your round?

MAC MEISSNER: Great. A little shaky to start. Hit a couple of balls out right, a couple of tee balls, but figured it out. Made a couple of good swings on eight and nine, and that kind of got me dialed back in. Had a great back nine.

THE MODERATOR: Highlighted with the eagle on 13. Walk me through that hole.

MAC MEISSNER: Yeah, it's a fun hole. I mean, you hit, like, a shot trying to get it close to that water. I hit it a little 2-iron today and hit a great 3-wood that hit right into the top of the lip of the bunker and came back down. It was a pretty tough shot downwind. I was just trying to get as much height as I could on it and it rolled great. I didn't get to see it go in, but I heard the cheering. It was fun.

THE MODERATOR: Playing partner Beau. Same round. What's it like when it's clicking with him and you can feed off each other?

MAC MEISSNER: He got off to a really hot start, and I was kind of, you know, just making a couple of birdies and then caught fire on the back. It was fun kind of feeding off of each other today. We both had great rounds.

THE MODERATOR: Weekend crowds, what are you seeing out here with the sport? You said there were some cheers.

MAC MEISSNER: Yeah, a lot of energy. I think Myrtle Beach is a fun fan town. I think they're really excited to have an event like this here, and we're excited to be here. This golf course is great. It's a lot of fun to play, and you got to hit a lot of really good shots.

So to be able to play in front of good crowds and get some cheers is fun.

THE MODERATOR: How would you kind of assess your season so far?

MAC MEISSNER: Yeah, it's been honestly pretty good. I've played a lot better than probably my FedEx Cup rank would indicate. I've made a lot of cuts. 25th place finishes are good, but they're not great in terms of points. Especially in full-field events.

Yeah, I think those high finishes, trying to contend a little bit more would be the goal towards the second two-thirds of the season.

THE MODERATOR: With a round like this, what are you going to take away for momentum heading into tomorrow's final round?

MAC MEISSNER: Yeah, I was happy with how I struck it on the back nine today. Didn't love how I hit it on the front, but was able to make some good swings. Really liking the way I'm rolling the putter, which is really nice. That's something that's always been probably a little bit of an Achilles heel for me. To see the ball rolling well and seeing a couple of putts go in is really nice.
